I noticed that I don't get a lot of comments or page views anymore, which kind of stinks, but it is what it is. So, in hopes of changing things I want to try an experiment. On my following posts I am going to use titles that are either crazy, impossible, stupid, ridiculous, funny, fascinating, or whatever to see if it will make people want to see what is up. I feel that this is probably a tad unethical in that I am going to be intentionally misleading but I want to see what happens, I am also thinking about adding interesting pictures that have nothing to do with what I am talking about, and I may also change the names to something that actually indicates what I am talking about.
Does anyone think that these ideas will work?
I must admit, you caught my interest with the titles. However, now that you've admitted it, will it have the same effect? I don't think it's overly unethical; one can read what your post is about even if the title is odd. What would be unethical would be a website with a name that is far different than what it's actually about. Also, don't you think it's a little far into the tri to start a new idea? I mean, most people seem to have given up already.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Cody, it did catch my attention, however bizarre it may be, but also it is not unethical in my opinion. Maybe you are misleading people but it is not being used for a negative purpose, and overall you are not affecting people in their lives. This act is merely creating an image for your blog as a whole. In essence it is what most people do, create an attention grabber, though it may seem to have different content within the blog, if you create one that is just off a tangent of the blog it would be very much less unethical. Gosh my two cents turned into a run on sentence, psh, well I hope your endeavors will become easier with your overall viewing of the blog.
ReplyDeleteYou got me Michael. I'll be waiting to see what else catches my eye (i guess you should accept my challenge? see how many of the next ones i comment on lol) PS i don't mean this in a mean way xD
