Poorly Done Advertisements

If an advertisement is poorly done, or if anything is poorly done, people talk about it and bash it. But, by talking about it isn't the advertisement effective? Does that make it good (in some regards, other than at being bad)?

  1. I wouldn't buy a product with a poorly-made advertisement. I would assume the product would be shoddy or fraudulent. If the commercial was just boring, I also would ignore it Now if it were strange, or perhaps somehow offensive, then the advertisement would be doing its job.
